The 3 Main Elements

Every song consists of 3 main elements. What I am about to share with you is rarely, if ever, taught in traditional piano lessons.

• I took 13 years of piano lessons as a kid, and not once did I hear music described in terms of melody, harmony and rhythm.

My piano teacher never taught me the true relationship between melody and harmony - but understanding how these 2 musical elements go together is the true magic of music.

When you understand melody and harmony, you understand the inner workings of music. Understanding rhythm is just the icing on the cake.
