What Is A Measure?

I will be using the musical term "measure" quite a bit throughout your online video lessons.

Technical Answer: In musical notation, a bar (or measure) is a segment of time corresponding to a specific number of beats in which each beat is represented by a particular note value and the boundaries of the bar are indicated by vertical bar lines.

Non-Technical Answer from one of my 5-Year-Old Students: It's a box with lines where your draw the music notes.
